2023 DCHS Homecoming Parade!

The DCHS Homecoming Parade will be on Friday, September 22, 2023. Here is all of the information you need to participate or view the parade:

  • Line up at 4:30
  • Parade begins promptly at 5:00
  • The parade line up will be in the parking lot (Tree side facing High School Rd) at Decatur Middle School)  
  • Decatur Middle School (5108 S. High School Rd) 
  • The parade will end at DCHS in time for the rest of the Homecoming festivities!
  • Keep in mind that our Hawks will be facing Plainfield following the parade at 7:00
  • Theme: Live Love DC 

Any Decatur Township group that would like to enter a car, truck, float, bike, etc. is invited to participate!

Any group wishing to enter the parade, please fill out the following form by Sept. 20th :

Parade Route:

DMS to High School Road

High School Rd to Thompson Rd

Thompson Rd to Tincher

Tincher to Furnas Road

Furnas Road to Wedgewood

Wedgewood to Decatur Commons

Decatur Commons to High School Road

Parade will end at DCHS

Rules and Regulations: 

All entries must be safe and appropriate for the parade route.

High School Administration reserves the right to disqualify any entries that are deemed unsafe and/or inappropriate.

No walkers are permitted in the parade.

Candy may be thrown from entrants to parade viewers.
