Secondary
While the elementary curriculum builds a strong foundation, the secondary curriculum offers a variety of opportunities for students to further develop knowledge and critical thinking skills, while exploring areas of interest. Students are working toward the goal of graduation from high school with a diploma emphasis of employment, enlistment, or enrollment, as outlined by the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana Code. Our secondary schools are organized in a Small Learning Community model in order to build relationships and integrated knowledge. The goal of secondary education in Decatur Township is that all graduates will step forward into the community, standing as a testament to the power of knowledge, resilience, and adaptability as outlined in our Portrait of a Graduate. More than students, Decatur graduates are thinkers, problem solvers, and creators, equipped with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
