Lynwood Elementary

The MSD of Decatur Township is located in the southwest section of Marion County. The corporation covers 33 square miles. We have students coming from the community of Decatur Township.  Our school is one of six elementary schools in Decatur Township.

Lynwood Elementary offers core subjects of reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies.  The teachers in grades kindergarten through four operate in self-contained classrooms while the remaining grades five and six classrooms use a transitional community approach, having each student see multiple teachers per day.

Special Area offerings at Lynwood Elementary include physical education, STEAM, general music, and media class. Recess or structured activities are planned and implemented by grade level teams.

Liberty Preschool

Liberty Preschool shares a campus with Lynwood Elementary. Liberty Preschool houses two programs. There are five teachers for each program. Students at Liberty Preschool follow the Purdue Early Learning Matters (ELM) curriculum. Students also participate in ISPROUT assessments.

Our developmental preschool program services students with an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). There is a morning session and an afternoon session. Based on individual need, students may attend part of the week or all of the week. Students must be at least three years old to join this program.

Our community preschool program is a full-day program. Parents may drop off students between 8:00AM-8:45AM. Students must be picked up by 4:30 PM daily. The cost of our full-day, community preschool program is $495 per month. Payments are due on the first of the month. Payments can be made through eFunds, card, cash, or check.
