Class of 2025 Graduation & End of Year Celebrations/Procedures

May 1st, 2025: Final cap and gown orders due to Herff Jones

May 19-23: Senior Week

Tuesday, May 20th: SLC Celebration Day

Wednesday, May 21st: Gown PIck-up @ 9:30 am in the Auxillary (small) gym at DCHS. Gowns must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. This is also the clearnace sheet/iPad return day. 

Thursday, May 22nd Graduation Practice:

Senior breakfast @ 8:45 a.m.

Graduation practice immediately follows in the DCHS gym. Attendance at practice is mandatory to participate in graduation.

Bus transportation will then be provided for seniors to participate in Grad Walks at each school in the district. Students should be back to DCHS around 12:30 p.m. Parents of graduates cannot attend this event.

Thursday, May 29th- Graduation at 7:00 pm at the Indiana Convention Center, Halls I-J: Doors will open to the public for Halls J and K 5:30 pm. Graduates should arrive at the Indiana Convention Center in Hall "I" no later than 6:00 pm ready to line up.

Graduation Ceremony-During the ceremony, families will need to remain in their seats for the entirety of the ceremony. Families will have access to the hall after the ceremony to take pictures and we should not have people in the aisles to take pictures during the ceremony itself.

Attire for graduates at graduation: Graduation is a formal ceremony so dress should be on the more formal side. Decorating caps is NOT allowed and students will not be allowed to march with a decorated cap. As well, only school-provided cords, tassels or other embellishments are allowed.

Entry for families: Doors open for seating at 5:30pm. Doors will be closed at 6:50 with the ceremony officially beginning at 7pm. Doors will not re-open for the ceremony until all graduates have entered the hall and are seated.
