Teachers and Support Staff of the Year Recognized

At the opening staff day luncheon on July 29th, 2022, the MSD of Decatur Township recognized Teacher and Support Staff of the Year Finalists and Winners for the 2021-2022 school year. 

Mr. Brian Belch, Teacher at Decatur Township School for Excellence, is the 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year for Decatur Township.  Brian has proven time and time again that he is willing to do whatever it takes to provide all students with opportunity.  He is a consistent innovator and adapts as necessary to whatever situation is put in front of him.  Brian has an innate ability to connect with students and build positive, productive relationships, allowing him to maintain a positive clasroom environment.  

Mr. Sigi Jimenez, Decatur Central High School, was recognized as the 2021-2022 Support Staff of the Year for Decatur Township. Sigi has served for 27 years as the Night Foreman at DCHS. He is reliable, consistent, always at work, and a team player.
