27 DCHS Seniors Dedicate Washington DC Spring Break Trip to Local Veterans

We are #DecaturProud of these DCHS Choice Academy Seniors. 27 students and 3 Chaperones represented our community in Washington DC over Spring Break.

They participated in a wreath ceremony at the tomb of the unknown soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery after the changing of the guard ceremony. The students also created toiletry packs to donate to veterans that are homeless in the nation's capitol. They dedicated many of the experiences to our local VFW post 908 and American Legion post 64 to thank them for all they did to help the students fund raise for this trip.

Together, we are Decatur Proud.
