Great for everyone from beginners to experts, this class is free and open to the public. Participants will learn a variety of painting techniques such as dry brush, antiquing, under and over-glazing, decals, pouring molds, cleaning greenware and more. Ceramics class is held each Tuesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Goodwin Center in the Silver Eagles room.


Much attention is given to role of exercise as a means to improve the quality of life for a senior adult. This class is accompanied by a beautiful collection of music that seniors will enjoy. The exercise is smooth and rhythmic (without strain). All parts of the body from the chin to the feet are involved with easy-to-follow commands. This free class is offered each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.


This class is designed for people who have purchased or are thinking of buying a new computer, beginners who want to learn about computers, or for anyone who would like a refresher on the basics. It is a hands-on class that takes you through the basic skills needed to effectively use your computer. We begin with a basic understanding of the parts of a computer, a review of computer terminology, the correct use of a mouse and the keyboard, and we finish with practice in the use of some of the basic programs and internet/email use. This is an introductory class for those wishing to learn about their family history. Having online access at home is helpful. The sessions are free on Mondays starting at 10 a.m. Offered by Paul G. Fox, Goodwin Center member.


The Goodwin Community Center is host to a group of leather craftsmen & women who are called "The Gathering." This is not a club, but individuals, couples and families who share an interest in working with leather. Projects of interest vary from wallets, purses, belts and leather cases to clothing. Classes will include instruction and completion, with items for competition at local, state and international levels. Several regular attendees are award-winning leather workers. The class is open to experienced leather workers with personal projects as well as beginners interested in learning. Instruction includes selection of leathers, pattern making, carving, tooling, stitching, lacing and assembly. Fellowship is also always a part of the Tuesday evening activities.
