Decatur Township Youth league girls basketball is about to begin. The Lady Hawks Playmakers Youth League is ready for year two. Last year we had over 85 girls in our first year and I want to keep growing. Here are some things you should know about this upcoming season.
- This is the OFFICIAL girls basketball youth league of the High School program. It is run by my staff and I.
- We will run all practices and games this year at Decatur Central High School (enter door #16) All the information you need regarding registration, practice, and game times are attached in the packet.
- This league is for grades 1-7.
- No girls will sit the bench in this league!
- Evidence shows that the girls will touch the ball 600+ times in our league compared to most traditional youth basketball leagues. This is a league that will develop their athletic development, skill development, and decision making. More information regarding our league can be found in the packet.
- The registration fee goes directly back to your daughter. That money will purchase: pink reversible, neon PYL t-shirt, PYL wristband, and a basketball.
- Two things I believe in most at this level is: FUN and TEACHING!! We want to ignite a passion for the game of basketball.
