MSD of Decatur Township Announces Director of Special Education

The MSD of Decatur Township names Dustin Robinson as Director of Special Education, effective July 1, 2026.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 9, 2026

The MSD of Decatur Township School Board of Education approved the appointment of Mr. Dustin Robinson as Director of Special Education, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Robinson brings 15 years of experience in education, with a variety of roles in special education including teacher, behavior intervention consultant, and program director. Most recently, Robinson served as the Director of Special Education for the Monroe-Gregg School District.

New Director of Special Educaton

Robinson earned his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Fresno and his Master’s Degree in Special Education and from Indiana University, obtaining licensure as a Director of Exceptional Needs.  

Mr. Robinson said he is eager to join the district and build upon its commitment to student success. “I could not be more excited to join MSD Decatur Township as the Director of Special Education. This opportunity brings together everything I am passionate about—serving students, supporting families, and partnering with educators to make a lasting difference in the lives of children. I look forward to building strong relationships across the district, learning from the outstanding team already in place, and helping ensure every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.”

Robinson was born and raised in Northern California before moving to Indiana, putting down roots with his family. He further shared, “I am first and foremost a proud father of six children and husband to my amazing wife, Katie. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, spending time outdoors with my kids until they wear me out, and (believe it or not) grocery shopping.
