January: School Board Appreciation Month

January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we are very grateful for our Decatur Township Board Members and their commitment to excellence.

At the first meeting of 2026, the School Board completed the annual re-organization:

• Dale Henson will serve as President and Education Foundation Advisory Member.
• Chase Lyday is the new Vice President, and will also serve as Legislative Liaison.
• Judith Collins will serve as Secretary and represent on the SSSMC Advisory Board.
• Larry Taylor is the President of Finance.
• Estella Vandeventer (former President) continues her service as a Member.

We extend our sincere thanks to the members of the Board of Education for their steadfast service and dedication to our schools and community. Their leadership, time, and commitment make a lasting difference for our students and families.
