Liberty Community Preschool Registration:

• A Community Preschool Interest Form will be available on the Liberty Preschool/Lynwood Elementary website on Monday, March 2, 2026 (7:00 a.m.) and will close when spaces are filled.
• Full Day Community Preschool and Half Day Community Preschool options will be offered.
• Liberty Preschool is located at Lynwood Elementary, and is open to any Decatur Township families with children who meet the criteria (until positions are filled).
• Students must be 3 years old by August 1st, 2026, and fully toilet trained.
• Enrollment decisions will be made based on met criteria and time of submission.
• Enrollment confirmation or waitlist emails will be sent out starting 4/1/2026. This email will include program times, cost, registration information, and additional needed paperwork.

In Person Registration Opportunities*: 

• Daily at each school- call ahead to make an appointment to use a laptop.
• July 16th, 2026: 9:00 am-12:00 pm or 4:00-8:00 pm at each school.

*In person registration is not required, but is an opportunity to access laptops at each school, receive information, and present required documents. All students can be enrolled or registered online from home.

Kindergarten Round-Up:

Thursday, April 23rd: 5:00-7:00 p.m. at:

Blue Academy, Gold Academy, Lynwood Elementary, Stephen Decatur Elementary, Valley Mills Elementary, and West Newton Elementary

 

Out of District Transfer Requests: 

May 26-May 29, 2026

Backpack/School Supply Giveaway:

The 2026 backpack/school supply giveaway will have a new format. 

Look for a Google Form to sign up for a backpack through ParentSquare in early July.

Applicants will be verified through Skyward Family Access. If backpacks are assigned, you will receive an email confirmation.

Backpacks will be picked up on July 16th at the school you selected through the form.
