DC Football Team Concludes an Amazing Season

Our Decatur Central football team finished their 2018-19 season, bringing home the State Runner -Up trophy.  We are Decatur Proud of the student athletes, and their coaches. Additionally, we are proud of the dedicated, (and well-known), HAWK BLOCK.  Our school showed the Decatur Township community how dedication to excellence can reap wonderful results.  Earning the State Runner-Up trophy is an amazing accomplishment.  The players showed heart, dignity, and strength this season and we can't wait to see what is to come during our sports, music, and academic teams winter season! 

It would be remiss to omit mentioning our DCHS LIVE team.  Their coverage of the fall sports season has been stellar.  The students, led by Mr. Adler, spend many hours filming and editing footage to bring all the action to the community.  The live streaming service provided by our DC LIVE team enables many in the Decatur Township community to view Decatur Central activities when they are unable to attend in person.  

With so many things to celebrate in our school, such as a softball State title, band/percussion state title, amazing musical programs, football state runner-up trophy, and academic teams working to compete — it is obvious that IT IS GREAT TO BE AT DECATUR!
