Tyler Whitaker, DCHS Sophomore awarded a full scholarship to the youth leadership camp.

Congratulations to Tyler Whitaker, DHCS Sophomore who was one of eleven Marion county students awarded a full scholarship to the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site’s Future Presidents of America youth leadership camp, held from June 26-30.

“We’re honored to participate in this partnership, but it wasn’t easy to nominate just one student leader to receive the Future Presidents of America Superintendent’s scholarship this year,” said Superintendent Dr. Matthew Prusiecki. “We are fortunate to have a multitude of bright, talented students in our district. Tyler stood out for her leadership in the classroom, project group, on Student Voice, the New Tech student leadership team, and the glowing remarks her teacher submitted. We are very proud of Tyler and have no doubt she will benefit from the relationships made and lessons learned at the program. She will represent MSD of Decatur Township well, and truly has potential as a future president.”
